Description
Saint Romain is located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, just next to the village of Meursault. The vineyard has a South Southeast and North Northeast exposure. The AOC was founded in 1947 – it is made up of 240 acres (60% white, 40% red grapes).
Pale yellow color with silver hues. The nose opens on a nice aromatic range of fresh fruits, almost exotic. Notes of sour white fruits are followed by vanilla hints. A very fresh (slight acidity) attack with a nice roundness. The mid-palate has a mineral character with flavors of flint and stone. The finish is lively with yellow fruits (peach, pink grapefruit).
